Broker Executive
Department: Marketing
Location: Horsham, PA
Requirements:
The principal focus is the sale of new, brokered accounts in the York, Lancaster, Berks, Lehigh, and Northampton Counties: Focus on 100+ self-funded TPA businesses. Accountable for prospect from presale, through implementation and the retention/service for the first 6o days after effective date of sale; Attains targeted sales goals; Leads cross-functional teams to achieve positive sales results; Identifies opportunities for ancillary products on all new sales. Relationship building: Develops and maintains strong broker (Level II and Producer) relationships; Develops and maintains key internal relationships; Understand customer and broker needs and provide value-added consultation; Strong consultative selling skills; Ability to “close” business; Ability to influence and negotiate complex situations; Ability to orchestrate and lead a team to drive a sale; Ability to develop effective plans for achieving business/sales goals; Presents a positive image of Amerihealth to the marketplace; Community involvement through professional organizations, associations and local organizations.
The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, or Health/Business Administration, five years’ strong experience in sales and/or small account management in the insurance industry required. PA State Health License required. Travel may be required. Must have a driver’s license and access to a reliable car. Excellent oral and written communication skills along with keen presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to function in a high-volume, highly visible, deadline-oriented environment is essential. *A non-compete agreement is required with this position
