Senior Claims Examiner
Responsibilities:
This individual is responsible for handling all claims for AmeriHealth Administrators’ members and providers, analyzing, and understanding the coverage provided under a member’s plan. He or she utilizes multiple systems to obtain and record claim information, enter data, and make claim payment decisions. In addition, the person in this role is responsible for the timely handling, accurate processing, and documentation of all incoming claims.
Qualifications:
- Must possess two to three years of claims experience, either in an office setting or processing claims.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Must have a High School diploma or GED.
- Ability to problem solve and prioritize, as well as research claim issues and accurately process claims in a timely manner.
- The ideal candidate must perceive and recognize the link between the claim and the customer.
- Candidates must have strong PC skills and the ability to use multiple systems in order to expedite claim adjudication.
