AmeriHealth Administrators Announces Key Strategic Promotions
Taylor leads sales and marketing, Hill leads health management and healthcare network contracting
Horsham, PA – February 22, 2007
AmeriHealth Administrators has promoted two senior executives leading its marketing and medical departments, AmeriHealth Administrators president and chief executive officer Daniel J. Pedriani recently announced.
Linda M. Taylor has been appointed senior vice president, marketing and sales, and Gideon D. Hill, III, M.D. was named vice president, managed care services and regional medical director. AmeriHealth Administrators is a national full-service third-party administrator ranking among the largest health benefits administrators in the United States.
“Linda and Gideon’s professional experience in the health benefits field will allow us to continue to provide the high performance and high value services that our clients expect of us,” said Pedriani.
Taylor assumes an expanded marketing and sales leadership role for AmeriHealth Administrators and its affiliates, including new business sales, account management, marketing services, and eBusiness. Since 2002, Taylor served as vice president, marketing in which she led the national sales team in winning significant national accounts. “Linda’s strategic vision, health benefits knowledge, and innovative solutions for self-funded and insured health plans have been integral to AmeriHealth Administrators’ overall success,” said Pedriani.
Taylor holds a Certified Health Consultant designation. She is an alumnus of LEADERSHIP Philadelphia, an organization that harnesses the talent of the private business sector to benefit the community and promote civic activities. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Upper Main Line YMCA, and is a member of its Program and Membership Committee and Human Resources Committee.
Dr. Hill oversees health management programs and network contracting services for AmeriHealth Administrators and its affiliates. “Gideon has been instrumental in advancing the health management programs at AmeriHealth Administrators with initiatives addressing case management, disease management, and predictive modeling,” said Pedriani. Dr. Hill, who was senior medical director since joining the company in 2004, has led the successful growth of the AmeriHealth Administrators’ disease management program, doubling the enrollment in 2006. He has directed AmeriHealth Administrators’ preparation for case management accreditation from URAC, a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit accrediting organization for the health care industry. The company’s in-house case management program has been cited for excellent care examples and best-in-class procedures, and the in-house utilization management program holds URAC accreditation in health utilization management.
An alumnus of the University of Delaware, Dr. Hill graduated from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA and completed a Family Medicine Residency at Underwood Memorial Hospital in Woodbury, NJ. Dr. Hill is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and a Fellow of the Philadelphia College of Physicians.
